Endicott Youth Center
A Mission of First Presbyterian Church of Endicott
Mission Statement:  To share the love of Christ with youth by creating a non-threatening environment where youth ministry can take place.

Phases I & II:  To take a vacant house and make it usable immediately for youth ministry both within the church and out into the community, while prayerfully discerning future possibilities for 27 Grant Ave.

Background:  First Baptist in Johnson City is the model we are currently using to turn an old home into a viable Youth Center. On the main page, a comparison is done between the current state of FPC's home with the Johnson City (JC) home. If you would like to see a more extensive set of pictures of the JC youth house you can view the slideshow.

This is a dream of FPC's Youth Director and some members of our congregation. A survey was sent out to local agencies assessing the need in the community and an overwhelmingly positive response was received. Just a few of the comments received were:
  • "I would love to see a 'drop-in' center re-emerge in the community."
  • "The truly needy age group in our community ranges from 11-21. Go with that."
  • "We need so much! A youth center, a place that's safe, good adolescent counselors, activities...Thank You!"
  • "Thank you, Thank you for caring for our kids!!"
